Identification help please
    #10320749 - 05/11/09 03:23 AM (14 years, 9 months ago)

Hey I just found these tonight in Melbourne, can anyone help. Are they okay? I found them in some compost at a gardening center. Here are some photos. If they are the right kind, what should I do with them in order to store them for later?

Cool mushrooms, I like pic # 2.

They are Coprinellus disseminatus!

Also not active, probably the same thing.

While its admirable that you are finding random mushrooms and showing them to us, if you are trying to get really high you need to be looking for mushrooms with purple-brown spore prints that stain blue.

Traced in Air, the photo of the second patch of mushrooms might be Psathyrella, maybe something like P. gracilis.  Though there is a darker spot in the center of the cap which suggests Coprinellus or Parasola.

No, I've been finding quite a few Subs, I've just been photographing all of the other ones that I see. I saw the original post and thought that the ones that I photographed might be the same.
