In Colorado.....

Do you think it's safer to
a) just grow a personal quantity of marijuana and tell absolutely nobody, or
b) become a caregiver so it's "legal" by state law, but your name is listed in a registry as someone who grows marijuana

?

Probably B, as a just-in-case. If you choose option B, make sure you stay within legal growing limits. I know a couple people here with medical cards. Although they don't grow their own atm, they plan to, and they haven't run into any problems having a medical card.

Probably B, but A is also pretty safe if you're smart.

Can you elaborate on this please? Perhaps link to a news article about it.

Surely they wouldn't make a list of caregivers name and addresses public, that would just be asinine.

That's a toughie for sure. It depends on how many plants you want to grow. You can have 3 huuuge ones in vegetative and 3 huuuge ones in flower if you have a medical card, and you can actually pull down a lot of pot with just 3 big plants. If you want to grow more plants, maybe don't get the card and tell NO ONE (best not to tell anyone if you have a medical card too, just in case).

Get this. My friend here in Colorado got busted growing 70 something plants. He paid lots of money for a good lawyer and got off with 6 years of probation (with UA's). Fast forward 3 years and he gets a medical marijuana card. He is now legally able to grow and possess AND smoke pot, while he's still on probation taking UA's FOR SMOKING POT!!!!!!!!
