Have wild champignon prints.....
    #1031351 - 11/07/02 05:29 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I found 2 wild champignons in the wood 1 month ago.
I cut them into quarts so I have 8 quarter prints for trade.....

Also have agarplates of shiitake and pink&yellow oyster (Pleurotus citrinopileatus & Pleurotus djamor).....

Anybody interested????

Anybody knows if i do need a casing layer for shiitake and pink&yellow oyster??
Can shiitake fruit only with rye???

They don't need casing. The easiest way for oysters is to inoculate wheat straw with grain spawn and sawdust/bran mixture for shiitake.
Usually they're not grown directly from grain, but once I left pink oyster spawn too long in jars and I got some deformed fruitings.

Sorry, last time I checked that was just French for mushroom :-p

Although agaricus brunnescens is sometime simply referred to as "champignon". Are you offering a. brunnesscens prints?

Or am I just a dumb-ass? ;-)

Genus Agaricus is quite difficult to identify to species and includes some poisonous species like A. xanthoderma.
I think that A. brunescens, A. bisporus & A. campester prefer meadows than woods as wild habitat.

Although, since he found them int eh woods, it could be A. silva.

mobyd, could you describe exactly the mushroom you found, and the habitat?
