 12 BRF cakes - Expected yield?

In a dream, an elf harvested just over 3oz of B+ on a first flush from a dozen BRF cakes. This seemed to the elf (who had only thus far dabbled in such shamanistic activities) to be quite a haul for a first flush. Does this seem excessive to anyone else? Perhaps they haven't been completely dried?

its easy to tell if your mushrooms are dry, they wont bend and snap when you try to, turn to dust if your grind them.
i have no idea what ounces mean. I have seen 70 grams wet come of cakes before

Actually, this particular elfin chap hauled 85.81 grams dried (give or take a few tenths of a gram - the dream was kinda hazy, ya know?). So 70 grams wet, per cake, is damn near spot-on.

i average a little more than an eigth for each cake. soo that would be an 1 and a half oz for 12 cakes??? im pretty drunk right now so i might be wrong some one said a while ago that each cake is at least worth one good trip for one person some produce more than others but in the end they all avg. an eight, at least for me

Elf-man is going to throw them in a container with some magic fairy desiccant to see if there is any residual water. Otherwise, elf-man will have no other choice than to praise the Mushie Gods for the divine grace which they have so apparently bestowed upon him.

My guess is that your (elf's) shrooms need more drying. Your elf is claiming to have grown 90g wet per BRF cake on the 1st flush alone. That would be a MONSTER grow. Get back to us after the desiccant trial. As Veda said, they should snap when bent, you're looking for "cracker-dry."

wallyworld96, you can't dry with desiccant, you just use it to absorb remaining moisture after you have air dried. My temps outside are around 90*F and you can dry mushrooms in a day in that heat with a slight breeze, but since there's 60-70% humidity as well, you need to make sure you get that last bit out with desiccant.

as far as drying them just use a fan.no money wasted that way.. tell your elf to go to horse poo he wont be dissapointed..later
