To be honest I don't think there is one.

Winter Rye Seed is not always available at Feed stores because it is not used directly as feed. It’s used to plant pasture land or as a green manure cover crop. It is also not popular in every part of the country. Like mine. No dairy farms and only small cattle operations grazing mostly native grasses.
Some farm supplies, county farm cooperatives or Feed and Seed stores will carry it only during the planting seasons, late winter and early fall. You can usually ask them to order it for you with success
Grazing rye is another common name.

Oats contain soluble fibre. Won't that make it sticky like porridge?

Correct. Rye grass seed is something else. Rye grain, rye berries, winter rye, all the same.

Really? I got both from B&Q a couple of weeks back.
Is this really recent?

Yeah I went to homebase and B & Q, No perlite, no vermiculite, said they didnt stock it anymore.
Wilkinsons (hardware store) is currently selling 5 litres of perlite and vermiculite (either or, its not mixed together to clarify) for 1.50 pounds each. Or larger amounts can be bought on ebay for relativly cheap as its so light.

I get "rye grain" from my local feed store. They're in the grass section. I think Rye is technically a type of grass? Real cheap. Just get the biggest grains they got. 5 bucks for like fifteen pounds.

All cereal grains are grass.

I have recently found out that some grocery stores near me carry “Rye Berries” so call up a few of your local grocery stores if a nutrition store is too far away.

Which grocery stores did you find with them?

You gotta go look around. It's not a common thing, the typical store employee isn't even going to know. But I'd start at the places that have bulk bins. King Soopers is a local chain that has bulk rye. Hideously expensive, but they have it. Also Whole Foods has rye berries, if you have one of those around.
