Little pebble things on my cake (pics)

I asked about these before with out the pictures. I was told that they would pin but they haven't. Two of my cakes have these hard little pebble like things? Anyone know what they are?

They are just abnormalties. They are mushies without heads. Pick em and eat em.

I have one of those growing in a B+ casing right alongside some normal fruits. I can't wait to see what it grows into.  :laugh:

they appear to be hyphal knots that have aborted but continue to grow (meaning that they have stoped trying to be pins, but continue to increace in size (like fatasses, only ata different growth stage)) i have had this happen with when my humidity was too high. could also be a sign of CO2 buildup, but i'm not sure on that one. my advice is to pick them off, figure out wich, if any, condtions aren't optimal, and try to make them so. if they start getting darker in color you may want to pick them off quickly, cause you'll know they are dead, and you don't want rotting mushrooms in your fruiting chamer.

Yeah lissen to concretefeet, he's got it down neat! Humidity, CO2, all that shit. I had some of those pebbles/hyphal knots last week but I was brave and stupid and thought I would let them grow huge but guess what? They rotted real quick and contaminated a cake! So pick em if ya got em and pronto!

I think those little bumps I have could in fact be hypel knots. theres like 100+ of them now on the top but they are much smaller

Are they ok to eat,, I have one that is bigger then my thumb nail. Some did grow caps and look like pins now.. I checked everything and everything looks right.. I have never had them before..

They're fine to eat, I think they have about as much potency as aborts but thats just what Ive been told
