Cultivation Q's
    #1030165 - 11/06/02 09:26 PM (21 years, 4 months ago)

It seems like poo doesn't contaminate and is easier to prepare for innoculation. why in hell do more people use poo? also, is bagged cow manure fine to use? i realize it isnt exactly fresh and not horse crap but i am not in a position that has many options right now. any thought on poo in general? thanks

In reply to:

It will contaminate no doubt, and the ease of preparation is subjective.

Why do people use it more that what?
In reply to:

also, is bagged cow manure fine to use?

Yes, if it's prepared right.
In reply to:

I think you'd find the bagged stuff to be more pleasant to work with, and perhaps better for cultivation. Horse or cow, I think herbivore shit in general is the way you want to go.
In reply to:

Yes. It's brown, usually. When the summer alfalfa comes it tends to get green and sloppy. It smells bad. It's sucks when you step in it.

"poo seems so much easier than sterilising"
Sterilising what? What do u mean? U mean cuz u pasturize it? Paz'ing something may sound easier, but u need a big pot, a wasteable pillowcase, weights that get all pooie, a GOOD thermomitor, and a lot of time and patience.
I much rather just make full quart jars of poo and sterilise it like that.
PC'in it would b easier, but doesnt have the benifits of Paz'ing it.
So I still dont understand.

"why dont people do more poo teks?"
Most ppl do. But then again some ppl wouldnt like to handle all that work, and time. You cant really ask a few ppl on everyones personal preference.
