Aborts
    #1029590 - 11/06/02 06:53 PM (21 years, 3 months ago)

Situation: (Using PF TEK) Innoculated PF spores, about 2 months ago. Delayed for slow mycelium growth, then adjusted. Then Birth cakes, 10 Days ago.
Set terrarium's temperature low 70's with ice pack, Now average is 76+, on Perlite. Humidity has been on the Hi side, probably 96% and up. Everything textbook, alot of pins, three fruits.
Then suddenly, around the time of grabing the big ones, noticed alot of the surrounding pins (many) aborting at the same time. Large and small. Even the ones well on thier way. All aborting.

Two possible mistakes: #1 Used a good amount of Pf Spore solution (6cc per cake)
Which burnt my nutrients.
#2 My 2 Month old cakes may be exausted.

Question: What action, if any, should i attempt?
I do thank u for your help.

You used six CC's per cake, WTF, do you grow money on the money tree in your backyard? Well I don't think either of your solutions were correct. How often are you fanning?

In reply to:

What exactly did you do here?

How's your rate of gas exchange in the chamber?

2 times daily, for about a min or so. Light is natural, daily, not direct.

Fan more often. I try to do it at least 5 times a day, that seemed to help somewhat with some of my abhorts, but you will always have abhorts, they're just a part of this hobby.

I mean for the Incubation period for the jars, they were incubated for almost two months (45+ Days) at 86+/- uncovered holes halfway through the period.
