Help with Copelandia fructification
    #10288875 -

Hello! i'm Joker from Argentina. A friend gave me a copelandia string and i make it sucesfully, now i have a %60 colonized cake and i have some doubts with the fructification period.

1 - is recommended to do the coldshock before fructification ? cause some guy with experience told me that Copelandia don´t need it and i have a doubt here...

2 - i have to let the mycelium colonize all the cake ? here is another doubt cause with cubensis i let it grow to a %50 aprox. and i ready to fruit! but this is Copelandia... is diffrent.

The other things like they need more CO2 exchange and humidity is not problem but the others 2 questions is very important to me to get awnser!

PLEASE DON´T REMOVE OR DELETE THIS THREAD WITHOUT AWNSER, I'M WORKING RIGHT NOW AND I DON´T WANT TO LOOSE THIS AMAZING STRAIN, MAYBE THERE IS NO CORRECT TO POST THIS BUT IM SERIOUSLY DON´T FIND AN STRONG AWNSER BY SEARCHING IN THE FORUM OLD POST.

Thanks and i hope to be welcome in this nice forum.

No need to cold shock. That is an old method that isnt really used anymore. Slows down the entire process more than anything.

And yes you need 100% colonization. you should have 100% no matter what your growing. You might be able to get away with it here and there but your just asking for contamination. Its best to wait for 100% colonization because the myc can fight off any contaminations that might try to take hold of you substrate, where as if its not colonized its fair game for contams to colonize the substrate that is not colonized.
