Only problem is that those big pans are covering a lot of the perlite surface area. It may make it difficult to keep the humidity up. What's the coverd pan for?

I have almost the same setup just a tad smaller. The pan covering the perlite doesnt affect the humidity at all. My casing takes up 50% of the container and its still 95% humidty.

hey! the pans that the cakes are on, are there because I used too much water (oops) in the perlite. I didnt strain, instead I poured water and mixed. you learn from mistakes though!

The one covered with foil is a straight verm casing, I dont have an inncubator, so I leave it in my fruiting chamber

I assume you've measured a difference in rh with and without the pans?

So you are incubating a casing in a fruiting chamber? See the problem with this is if your fruiting chamber has optimal conditions your casing will take longer to colonize, because of the lower temps. I'd say make yourself an incubator using a styrofoam cooler, if you plan on getting into this hobby you will be glad you did, you will notice the benefits of having one.

just a styrofoam cooler? or put a heater in it of some sort? i have a heater for like rooms and such and its in the closet and i keep this closed think the styrofoam would keep a good regular temperature for incubating a casing? or even jars? would it be better to use a styrofoam cooler in this situation than just the normal box sitting in the closet in the midst of the heate?

Your question(s) were very hard to understand, but I'll try to answer to the best of my ability. A styrofoam cooler with a fishtank heater submerged in a jar of water/peroxide solution. That setup is good for jars and if your cooler is big enough, you can do casings as well. As far as your heater that you described, I guess you could use that in your closet if you could maintain a temp in the mid 80's.
