Thinking aliens have been here or watch us is not that crazy. Consider we have camo and stealth technology,I would imagine thiers to be pretty advanced .....we have scanners and radar that allow us to see into the earth and scan objects without touching them over great distances...I would imagine aliens would have this technology on a far more advanced scale.
I not crazy to think they could watch unnoticed and scan us from great distances.I would imagine they would avoid contact, because of the same reasons we dont take cell phones and chainsaws to tribes living in the wild still,if we think this way ,it`s not hard to think people/aliens that are for more evolved would think the same way. I am not saying they are probing our asses ,they would not need to,but it is possible they have cruzed by and took some scans or even landed at one time undiscovered hundreds of years ago. Unlikely ,but possible.

I'd like to think that if they'd been here they'd let us know ... but why would they? Do they really have a motivation to make contact with a species that's barely been spacefaring for half a human lifetime?
I think its quite possible, though unsupported by evidence and kind of unuseful to speculate about, that aliens know all about us and they're biding their time. If that's the case, it's probably great news for us -- it means the aliens aren't malicious and that they're willing to wait for us to evolve. To me that says they're basically friendly.
But the simpler assumption which fits our evidence just as well is that aliens have never been here at all.

I would think that if a species is evolved enough to travel great distances at greater speeds than we can imagine . . their morality far exceeds ours . . deeming them undoubtedly friendly.

Give some thought to the nature of intelligence and the driving forces in evolution.
The predator is always smarter than its prey.

I don't think that's necessarily true...prey is just as highly evolved as the predator. It's a constant back and forth in evolutionary advantage.

It's true that predators usually have higher intelligence than their prey, but why you'd think that means spacefaring civilizations would be out to get us is beyond me.

Wait seriously where are you guys getting that predators are more intelligent than their prey. Crocodiles certainly aren't more intelligent than, say, wildabeast, they just have very different types of minds that are each adapted for their own environment and needs.

It's not that they would necessarily be out to get us, it's that they would likely be the decedents of predators just like we are, and as such would have all of the evolutionary baggage that comes with it.

Who else agrees with me that psychedelics should be widely used- but responsibly, maybe we should create psychedelic clinics for the mainstream. gotta overthrow the government before we do this though I wish hippies were motivated to actually change things it's in our hands

I think the majority of people could benefit from a psychedelic experience.

I don't think so. Psychedelics appear to new a specific kind of user as a vehicle. Not to be elitist or anything, some people just have no interest in the subconscious or exploring their minds like that and a drug like that probably wouldn't benefit them. I know a woman who has never remembered one of her dreams, and said she was "too busy with the real world" to ever care about them. I actually know man who's so disinterested in the emotional, metaphysical world that he doesn't even like music! This sounds pretty bad to people like us (who thrive on dreams, the subconscious, whatnot) but I guess that's just how their interests lie. I think forcing them to get more "attuned" wouldn't work and would probably be traumatic for them.

That's one more poll than you've provided, even though you were the one who made the claim.
