yes, it is possible. it would need to be a tiny pup to flat graft to pereskiopsis though. your other option with pereskiopsis is to imapale graft, search cpw1971's posts regarding impale grafting.
however, the best thing to do would be a flat graft to a columnar stock.

I think cpw impale graft wouldn't be a good option unless he was willing to practice a bit with other globular species he cared less about, I've seen some hit and miss results with it. The flat graft to a trich or myrtle would be your best bet like uare said.

Yeah, it took many tries for me to get any successful grafts.

Ditto. Impale grafts are a complication IMO. There's nothing simpler than a flat graft.

I think it depends more on the persons experience, cpw seems to have the impale to a science, it makes them seem more natural too. The flat graft is easier to line up with vascular ring though, which is why I prefer it.

you are right about globular cacti not being the best candidates for impale grafting too, it is possible but columnar scions that have more height are better suited to that method

I just did a few caespitosa grafts. Not much to it really.

I just left areoles and very small buttons on the original plant. Maybe in a couple years I can do it all over.

I guess I could do some non-blurry pics lol. I am hit and miss with my cam. I'm thinking about getting a 10 megapixel. I may take more pics of them later, but it pretty much looks like that.

Yeah my camera is the same. Has your graft taken yet? I think we have derailed his thread about pereskiopsis grafts.
