Ego is the one that binds our brain together, or mabey vice versa, what binds our brain together creates our ego. brain=thoughts
stop being so worried, your brain aint gonna fall out of your ears. an ego is like a knot in your muscles, massage it out of there!!!

I'm not totally sure I agree with you. We have ego for a reason, not to overcome it, but rather to learn to experience it in a healthy way. We need spririt, yes, its incredibly important but so is all other aspects of our humanity to this human experience. The ego-self is a valuable mode of perception. I agree with the fact that we give it far too much power over ourselves and our perceptions, but killing it, ignoring it or "crucifying" it isn't necessarily the best way to deal with it. We must develop healthy relationships with all aspects of our psyche, our being.

Stop it, you're making sense.
-------------------- To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.' Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence. Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains. Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.
