I understand that some countries will execute women for not wearing the garb, but as I said, in industrialized countries, that would not happen. The stoners (no pun intended) would be automatically arrested, or stopped by onlookers. If the society that people live in will allow that kind of fucked up mentality to persist, it's not the religion, but the society as a whole that has issues.
Their "society" is almost completely based off their religious nonsense.

TBH the only muslim women I've encountered have been at university.
They're wrapped up like a bloody mummy, it's so strange being lab partners with them. I bet it made them feel uncomfortable when I would poke now and then about the full black garb.
How can you be so intelligent, but at the same time not be allowed to walk in public unescorted by a male?

And are you honestly trying to say that taking a risk in order to beat a female, rather than not, is more justified than the latter?
Yes Im saying that living in a country where if you physically offend a women and have a chance of going to jail over it(or your assed kicked) is better than a country where you know you can beat the shit out of your women and that anything under the garb would be covered up, and beatin even worse if she dare says something to the wrong person.

That's only a law imposed by the Taliban and other "Muslim" (The "" are important) factioned groups. It's not a rule set by the Qur'an. Shariah (Muslim law) is something that is highly debated, and while I know very little about it when in comparison of what there is to be learned, I know enough to know that it's complicated enough that governments and radical groups are able to misconstrue the intentions of the writings for justifying whatever they feel like.
This goes hand in hand with:
Quote:
Unfortunately in countries with low standards of living, the populations access to information is often greatly limited. So these people living in these countries have only been exposed to what their government selectively chooses.

there's a typo in your sig.
-------------------- Man is timid and apologetic; he is no longer upright; he dares not say "I think," "I am," but quotes some saint or sage. He is ashamed before the blade of grass or the blowing rose.Man postpones or remembers; he does not live in the present, but with reverted eye laments the past, or, heedless of the riches that surround him, stands on tiptoe to foresee the future. He cannot be happy and strong until he too lives with nature in the present, above time TRANSCEND
