Or is your staff infected?

Either way, if it's not getting better, you need a doctor. Or get some veterinary antibiotics, and eat those.

j/k kidding about the vet meds. See a doc.

How are you gonna try to snake my joke like that?  :crankey:

if you do have staph, you need to see a doc.  asap.  I have had MRSA several times, and have never had an easy time getting rid of it until i get medication.  Doc usually gives me Bactrim,Doxycycline, and a bactim cream for my nose.  Last time i had it tho i got some good pain meds.......had one of the worse infections i have had in a long time.  take it serious, it can kill you if left untreated.

i have had several look as bad as that one, but darker and more swelling several inches beyond the infection.  most of them start out looking like a spider bite, and even itch like a spider bite, but turn into deep cavernous infections that have to be drained and packed  kat

Hmm no it doesn't look like that, but how long would that be progressed? This has maybe been around for 5 days... I didn't mess with it till today. Seemed kinda deep or something because it didn't pop all at once or anything it would just slowly squirt out. That sounds really disgusting, but it was really nasty. It kind of disturbed me. I'm gonna go to a primacare tomorrow at some point.

Use caution if you plan to pop anything like that, my uncle ended up in a hospital for two weeks after trying to pop a boil.  He squeezed it and the infection went straight into his blood.  he was septic as hell.  If it is Mrsa, it can start out looking like a boil.  I dont advise trying to pop that, due to the level of contagiousness that it has.  you could also make it way more worse if you poke around with it.

Easiest way to tell if it is a staff, is if the vein closest to the "infected area" is becoming more visible, IE black, it will slowly travel up your body till it reaches the hart, which it will then infect and you will cease to exhist

I had a staff infection from litterally a tiny gash from a rusty shovel covered in dirt. it was on my lower calf of my right leg.

no bigger than half an inch long
and hurt very little at first.

It started to heal, then when i would touch it, it would puss, not just goo, but vibrant colors, as if my white blood cells were loosing the battle, about three days in i noticed a black vein that had travel past my knee and into my groin area, it hurt like hell.

So i showed it to my friends mum whom was a nurse, she put me in her suv and drove me to the hospital, they actually had to cut out a part of the wound, and i was on tons of antibiotics for about a month... and they made me super sick b/c they were so filthy strong.

The ER doc said i woulda been in cardiac arrest within 48hrs do to my high metabolism and heart rate...
And he also said its becoming more common because the staph virus is mutating (yeah more mutations FTL) and becoming more resistant to our drugs

SO

Do yourself and the world a favor and get in the car and go to the hospital now... Because noone wants to attend a funeral for such a stupid reason...
BTW if its closer to your heart than mine was, you have less time ....
(of course this is only if you have a staph infection.)

Yeah it's nothing near that bad. Maybe I've just never had a boil before, but I'm still gonna get it checked out just because of those god damn gym floors I stretch.

I actually haven't smoked hookah in a little while. But I've been making up for it by smoking out of my new pipe. :vaped:

The new one is the one with the light blue patter on it.

I'm not too worried. It doesn't look near as horrible, or have a black vein of any sort. I may just be freaking about having a boil for the first time. I wish I didn't have acne. :nonono:

You'll feel pretty sick if you end up coming down with sepsis.

If the infection is local, it would be inflamed. Besides swelling up, it would be warm, might even smell. The fact that you said a lot of blood came out makes it sound like an infection. Puss is the result of dead immune cells, and during the immune reaction, blood vessels in the area will dilate and become more permeable.

It would look much different than a clogged follicle that emits sebum when squeezed.

If the infection is still local, topical creams might help but you can't count on it. Amoxicillin does not kill all staph infections.

I have MRSA & got a staph infection right under my ballsack; so i did what any ex-IV user with OCD would do... i tried to drain it with a syringe.

I ended up with a ballsack that swelled to over the size of a grapefruit & had to get an ultrasound on my ballooned ballbag.

The best part was, the woman who did the ultrasound went to highschool with me...

the weight of it hurt when i stood.

finally, as i was taking a hot shower, i lifted my infection-filled ballsack to clean my taint, & the sheer pressure caused blood & puss to drain out of my sack through the area i first had the staph infection.

this is all true, btw. i couldnt make this story up.
