MycoBags + Strains

A friend of a friend is gonna grow ten mycobags over christmas breadk (hes in college) My question is what strains seem to respond best to Mycobags? It is important that the bags are completely done befor the end of christmas break, which lasts 6 weeks. What strains colonize and pin fastest in bags? My friends friend is considering golden teachers and B+. If any one has any experience with these strains in Mycobags please respond.

What do you mean travel? Like your going to move them around after they've been innoculated, or un-innoculated bags?

I guess they would "travel" just fine. Just take precautions against contams. I would say put them in a box and tape it up or a duffle bag something along those lines. Be careful though...I know I wouldn't want to be carrying 10 mycobags around with me.

The bags need to travel to my friends friends home, they will be traveling already inoculated about 3 hours. He plans to innoculate early to insure his bags are done befor he has to go back to school. Thanks for the replies.

ps. any one know what the fastest mycobag colinizing/fruiting strain is? speed is essential to this project as my friends friend will only be home for 6 weeks. If he could be sure about speed he wouldnt have to travel with inoculated bags.

Yeah I understand what you are saying now and the answer is yes....I dont see a reason as to why you couldn't travel with them. The only problem is one that I already mentioned which would be contams. Just keep them in a dark warm cozy place for the 3 hour voyage and they should be oh so fine

I really dont think that one strain will do much better then the other...you might want to give b+ or pesa a shot. Ideal conditions are really what is going to quicken the growth process. Do some reading and find out what the ideal conditions (ie temp.) are for the particular strain that you do decide to purchase.
