StaleShrooms said: I LOVED the first one, but what made it so great for me was that he died. he had a minute amount of time to do what he needed to do and (i assume) for the first time he really pulled his shit together and went balls to the wall tryng to kill that guy and then died a glorious death.
now that fuckers alive? fuck. why not just make a movie about a dude who runs around killing gang members and leave the beijing cocktail (or whatever it was called) completely the FUCK out of the plot? the fact that he didnt die kinda ruins it for me
i hope whoever made the sequel gets raped
I had the exact same though watching Crank 1 last night, "Why have the plot, just have him fucking people up?"
And there's going to be a 3rd one, unless they lose interest.

crank 2 > crank
It was like a new genre of american action-surrealism
It had just the right amount of self-awareness and humor to pass off it's frequent absurdities. Direction and editing were spot on. I really enjoyed it.

I saw this for only $.50 and I still want my money back. And that time of my life. It was butchered from the first one.

That was the beauty of it though, it didn't make much sense, but it was still hilarious to me. I liked it.

It reminded me a lot of "Natural Born Killers". They are both filmed in a similar way which was awsome. I was really stoned when I saw it though.
