Chameleons
    #10222935 - 04/23/09 09:42 PM (14 years, 9 months ago)

I just wanted to know if my mushrooms will survive in my chameleons terrarium.

Its a box built entirely out of a (?Plastic?) mesh, about 1/16 mesh size i think. Ultrasonic humidifier attached to piping that sprays from the top.  There will be a plant in there soon as well. The ground beneath is a layer of coco-coir and a small stand will be mounted where 4-5 cakes can sit.

Is there too much risk for contamination? This is just for shits and giggles with my new baby chameleon.

I see.., i know fake plants are bad for chameleons (Since they sometimes nibble on the leafs) will the "droppings" be an issue?

keep it away from the animals

when you get a pin from something thats actually sterile he can pose with it.

I wouldnt encourage the chameleon eating shrooms.

though that would be a serious mind trip and if he ends up eating some or drinking some tea then I would be interested to see that video.

well it could be done... just like everything else.

but the effort just isnt worth it IMO.

you would need to build a SEALED box in the terrarium with FAE and mist tubes and EVERYTHING would need to be compleatly sealed off from the chameleons environment.

also they could be toxic to them... not impossible
