When you boil your jar's.

I don't know if this has been said or not. But if you have to boil your jars and are scared they will brake sitting on the bottom of the pan. Just put some lid rings in the bottom of the pan if you have some laying around. I did it lastnight and it worked great, plus it makes the jars higher and you can put more water in there.. And yes I know I cant spell.. I hate typing...

You can use a towel as well, but i like the lid idea, just wondering how the jars stay on them during the turbulent boiling process?

Mine never moved as far as I can tell. I've used a few other thing in the bottom of the pan, but the ring's work the best I think...

I use a metal vegetable steamer, keeps the jars about 2 inches from the bottom of the pan.
