why so light??

I just recently picked my first flush, which consisted of five golden teachers. The mushrooms are each about 4-6 inches, and the caps are about the size of a half dollar coin. I was very excited when I picked them, but after they dried, I weighed them, and it was only 1.1 grams!!! From my understanding, I thought 2-3 mushrooms would give you a good trip, but 1.1 grams won't do hardly anything. I picked the mushrooms about 1 day after the veil broke.....was this too soon? Is this how much mushrooms usually weigh or are mine extra light for some reason?

Well all of mine weigh exactly 1.34 g dried. Nah, just kidding, were these off of a cake? 1.1 dried for a flush is a little low, but it is only one flush, cakes usually yield from 3-12 grams in their ENTIRE fruiting cycle. Oh well, better luck next time, try shooting up your cakes with some DECA, hehehe.

They were off a 1/2 pint cake made of bird seed. The overall weight isn't what is bothering me, its that five fairly large sized mushrooms(at least I think they are pretty big) only weigh 1.1 grams. When I showed my friends, they all said it looked like a little more than an eigth, which is initially what I thought it weighed. It's just messed up that 5 large shrooms is only 1.1 grams.

1 / 8 oz = 3.5 grams

so you didn't even have a 1 / 16

Right now I think I'm gonna wait until the next flush so I'll have a little over 2 grams and I'll be able to trip.

ya 1.1grams is pretty low for a first flush...my first flush ever was a couple weeks ago and i got around 15-20g's of GT's on some cakes...try dunking your cakes this time and that should help you get bigger flushes.
