Panaeolus species do have blackish/dark gills. Whats the spore print?
Depending on where you live, and the fact it was growing out of dung, it could defiently be a subbalteatus, but, please do not eat until getting a positive ID. It could just be a random Panaeolus species as well.
Post any more information you can about it. What was the demensions of the cap and stem, the coloration, texture, was the stem hollow? Where the gills attached to the stem or free?
