casing terr still usable??

a gopher i know recently had a casing go bad on him... has 2 spots of green on it.. couldent have been in there more then 6 hours ( the green that is) he ditched the casing but is wondering if he still needs to get new perlite and bleach bath everything again... he wishes to know this so he dosent put another case in there and contam it right away. is it nessasary to bleach it all? thanks

the thing is that we dont know where did that green mold came from;
as i understood, the casing was cool, then put in the terrarium and in 6 hours it was contaminated, right? that means the shit happened inside there.

well you can "wash" perlite with H2O2 and water and then let it be dry. then soak it with H2O2 and reuse it.

i always clean my terrarium with dettol [lysol] after the end of a series of casings and the birthing of new. in all these efforts i had only once green mold and the fault was another reason :smile:
