FC - To have clear top or non-light penetrating top.
    #10203375 - 04/20/09 07:11 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

I am curious as to every-ones opinion on light coming from directly above the mushrooms with a clear top on the FC or light only entering through the sides during fruiting.

I will be using a natural daylight light bulb in a closet 12 hr on /12 hr off.

Does it make a difference as to getting the FC with the white top  or the clear top?

Thanks

- PokerKing

id imagine the clear top would work a little better, you're light cycle perfect.i turn them on when i wake up (whatever time) and turn them off 12 hours later so the lights weren't always on the same time everyday  :5moreminutes:

If the light comes from the side, the mushrooms will grow towards the light.  If crooked mushrooms don't bother you, then an opaque top is fine.  They all eat the same.
