michigan radio (university of michigan's npr station) has started a new thing as of maybe last year where they promised not to do the full onslaught of a week of pledge drive if they still raised the same amount of money. they ended up raising more, probably because so many people were happy not to have the programming interrupted every 3 minutes.

That was thoughtful. I mean, it's lame to bitch about good free radio, but they really are obnoxious about it, haha. I guess they have to be, so people get upset enough to say "FINE! Have $500 and shut your pie hole!"

We only get one public radio station here started up by the University which is worth a listen, everything else is shiite.

I thought commercial radio was a joke but evidently the greater herd still listen to it. =P

BBC WorldService is great.

The NPR station here at my school, W-UWM, carries the BBC at night and early morning.

I love listening to it on my way to work.

I listen to quite a bit of WGN, which is an AM station out of Chicago.

They have some of the best programming around, I think.

Of course, hard to get if you don't live near Chicago.

Almost all radio stations have an online stream, although I'm not sure why

I don't know which presenters are on Radio 4, But I do enjoy listening to Wossy (whatever station he is on) and back when Gervais and Merchant were on XFM.

Also it's a shame Russell Brand got ousted after that Manuel incident haha

Karl Pilkington is the single most intelligent/retard hybrid I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Imagine him on drugs! Good lord.

As nonsensical and fucking ridiculous some of the things he says are, there is something otherworldly about him.

Like an alien reporting on our life. I can't watch youtube on this computer, but look at the 9 min. clip of him off the Gervais: Politics DVD. Brilliant.
