there is a certain power that is to be gained from community bartering. -- by "community bartering" i mean a unified body of individuals [ say 8 people] who by pooling their resources can begin to free themselves from the consumer role -- this example is not to be considered as a means of distribution to others but as a means to empower the community [no matter how small or large] by enlisting each members talent, ability, knack, resource, etc... -- some can procure land or equipment and some may have the know-how to grow [opium, mushrooms, cannabis], and others could have mastered the art of composting, there may be one with the organizational contribution and management skills, another may have security expertise. --if we as individual intellectuals would look pass our world and find like-minded beings who have the desire, nay the willingness to take the risk and step up and take a chunk of the power that is to be had, then and only then will we see a shift in the here and now.
--big business does this [combining resources] to get and maintain power and control, why shouldn't you? why haven't you?
--if you want it, find a like minded entity and go after it together
that sounds like a good idea until 1 person(s) perceived as having less control or 1 person(s) perceives him/herself as having more control, and others initial rights are taken advantage of, just like in big business ;] this is what always seems to happen whent the group expands in MY experience im sure communes get along just fine
