I checked the yard (which is full of wood chips, and disturbed by people all the time), but didn't see any morels. They have been found right up the street from me, though. I did find a single Pluteus salicinus, but that is all that is worth reporting.

That yard has had morels in the past, in one of Aaron's flowerpots.

Yeah, I know morels have been found here before....
Aaron's flowerpots? Uhh, I didn't know he had flowerpots here. Are you sure they are Aaron's, or maybe they are not here anymore? Most of the potted plants belong to Daniel and Laura.
Daniel said he found them near his trailer.

Uhh yeah. We'll see... I'll have to get some agar and plates.
It's weird, it was growing in this pile of debri I moved to make some other mushroom patches. Of course, those patches haven't done a goddamn thing, but the pile of crap I cleared has fruited Psathyrella and P. salicinus. It's like the mushrooms are taunting my efforts.

Did you have a camera? I would like to see it. There are 3 different variations of salicinus and it's always interesting to compare them.

Well damn. Shit happens. Yes, unless they are young they can decay in a heartbeat. Of all the ones I found last year perhaps only 3 to 4 of them made decent prints. And like yours, some fell apart before I made it to the car.
Better luck next time.
