how much light in the terrairium will do?????

I am growing my first batch of shrooms and am growing them in a plastic cooler with the original lid. My question is will they grow with just a few minutes of light a day and the lid on the rest of the time or do I HAVE to cut the top and put some glass there or use a different container? Or will what I have work?
I thought I read somewhere that a few minutes of light a day would work, but they are in total darkness the rest of the time. just dont want to waste my time, as I could easily get anouther container. Thanks for any help!

tHE Mushroom Culivator - my bible states that as little as 0.5 millseconds of blue ot ultrviolet light per day is enough to cause primordia formation.

However I would cut a hole in the lid and stick a plexiglass window in. Or cheaper a cellophane window.

These are photosensitive species after all.
