Emergency Salvia Help
    #1016135 - 11/02/02 05:35 PM (14 years, 11 months ago)

Over the past 3 days, my largest, fullest, oldest salvia plant has been losing leaves at an alarming rate. Any suggestions? The conditions have not changed over the past month. I don't want to lose my baby.

If they're not wilting and turning brown, then its definetly a nutrient deficiency or possible some kind of plant disease... I'd try giving it some liquid plant food and check its state in a few days...

Could this be a product of overwatering? Its happening to another one of my salvia plants, and now i'm really starting to freak out. If it is overwatering, whta can be done?

salvia problems are caused more by overwatering than by any other problem. if it's overwatering, let them dry out. if you've got artificial light, give them some but not directly under the lights.

bilge said it all. just wait, let it dry out. you might wanna consider clay pots as you seem to overwat(er)ch your plants...

I can only hope its not too late. 2 different strains and 4 different plants are having problems. I'm home all day, so I'm way too parental to my plants. Less parenting, more guidance!
