Yes. Buy yourself "The Mushroom Culivator" - it covers the different straws and their content ect. Every real shroomer should have this book.

yep, but you prob want to doctor it up a little bit. Can't hurt to keep looking though. Total dry matter; Protien; Fat-fiber; N~free extract; total minerals; calcium; phosphorus; nitrogen; potassium
Oat clippings, or clipped oat by product:
92.2; 8.8; 2.3; 25.3; 44.9; 10.9; -; -; 1.41; -;
on average, lower protien (1/4-half); equal-lower in fat(1/2); higher in fiber(aprox.10x)[insert Cheerio's commericial here :grin:]; lower in N-free extract(20-40%); higher in total minerials (1.5-3x); about half the nitrogen
All kinds of wheat listings also, as you know, content varies w/region.
-c/o TMC

From the mushroom cultivator.

Simplified:

"In commercial mushroom production one of the most frequently used substrate materials is cereal straw. Not only does straw form the basis for mushroom composts, but it is also use uncomposted as the sole ingredient for the growth of various mushroom species. Although all types of straw are more or less suitable, most growers use wheat because of it's coarse fiber and its availablility. "
