Are you going to be getting renters insurance at your new place? If so, its a much better deal, much cheaper (usally around $12 a month), and would also cover your TV from theft, vandalism, and almost anything else happening to it, not only that, it covers EVERYTHING else in your house as well, not just the TV.

man soon enough EVERYTHING will be on credit and it will be cashless society were they just scan a chip in yer thumb, and with that chip they will be able to know everything about you and were you are at all times,this is a very BAD THING

To whoever was asking, the TV was about 75 lbs. Here are the specs. It's 61lbs without the stand. The box had handles on the top and sides, so it wasn't that bad.
And my mom is an insurance agent. I have every insurance ever it seems. Life insurance, Car insurance, renters insurance, plus a Roth IRA, mutual funds, and checking account through State Farm's bank.

Yea the immediate problem with credit cards isn't apparent right away. You put like 2000 on one of them and think no big deal, then you lose your job and have some fucking asshole who doesn't even speak Engrish calling you 4 times a day, because they want their fucking $50.

as long as you pay it rigorously and don't fall into the thought trap of thinking you have plenty of time to pay it and put any payments off you'll do good
think 'good credit rating history' for the future and after you pay this off you can apply to your bank for a personal loan on a lower yearly interest rate
these instore interest free period deals ussually have financial intitutions behind them that'll eat you alive with their seperate hidden fees if you become late in payments so goodluck and good on you for thinking of the economy and knowing theirs a future for yourself,youre putting cash back into the system for a product you need which is win win imho

Yep, i just put $2,000 on credit this weekend for a new TV system as well. I will have it paid off by summer though so no biggie. It's nice though becuase I have never had a tv bigger than a 20". this one is 46". I don't pay for TV like most people, i just like to watch movies and select tv shows on dvd. Here's the tv i just got...
