Very blurry pics. Hard to tell, but what is the tin foil still doing on?  They probably aren't getting enough gas exchange and that's why they stalled.  Take off the foil.  Do you have a dry verm layer?  You should have, but if not, cover the holes with micropore tape.

The mycelium needs to breathe.  I think that's your problem.  The purpose of the dry verm layer is to provide a contam barrier while still letting it breathe.  The foil is just to prevent water from getting in during sterilization.  You should always take it off afterwards.

Yes.  The tape is just an extra precaution.  If you don't allow for gas exchange your mycelium will stall and it will never colonize.  Take it off for sure.  Put your jars on a high shelf where there is less chance of contamination, and keep it at room temperature in normal lighting conditions (not need to keep it in the dark).

I've kept the foil on previously without any problems, but there were holes in the lids.

Well you were lucky.  You might not get away with it next time.

No, it is not porous enough.  Micropore tape is easy to find at your local chemist or pharmacist in the first aid section.

I got a dry verm layer. 4 holes with a layer of micro pore tape over each hole. Works Great!
