i haven't seen the exact phenomena you described but i have noticed lately that "stars" move across the sky at a fast speed. but this can be easily explained by satellites, and how the sunlight reflects off them as they go round the earth. could it possibly be satellites you're seeing?

For some odd reason, something has been pulling at me to go look at the stars. I am gonna start doing it. Something is calling me.

ACtually Satellite's don't always pulsate.. I think it depends on the atmosphere you're viewing them from. I've seen satellite's quite a few times, and they just stay the same light and move across the sky.. (sometimes the fade out, etc.. but I haven't seen them fade in and out)

The stars are mobile EVERY night. They only appear to be stationary.

The wall to my left looks like it's made of Jello. Regular psychedelic use (including cannabis and DXM) makes one get used to such things. You were likely seeing motion which most do not notice. We all learn to stop trusting our vision on such easily misinterpreted things as small objects moving sooner or later.

When I was young I used to stare at a Jesus I had hung on the wall until it started twitching. I would lay awake for hours terrified that this Jesus would fly off the wall and eat me.

I saw the same exact thing over the summer. I was looking at the sky on a clear dark night and I saw a star move and figured it was a satellite. However, it didn't move in a straight line and didn't keep a constant speed. It did zig zags and loops and moved quickly then slowed to a stop, then disappeared all over the course of about a minute or two. I know it wasn't just my creative imagination because there were 5 other people with me who saw the same thing. We saw it twice in the same night separated by about 30 minutes. Then I was talking to my sister about it and she experienced the same thing independent of me the same weekend. I have no idea what it was, although the most plausible explanation I can come up with (without resorting to extraterrestrials) is fighter planes doing aerobatics at 30,000 feet. But I don't really know how plausible that is either. Crazy stuff, I got chills down my spine when I first saw it.

"For some odd reason, something has been pulling at me to go look at the stars. I am gonna start doing it. Something is calling me. "

I highly recommend it, great fun!!! If you haven't yet, do a little reading up and learn some constellations it makes it easier to see how the planets and stars move along the ecliptic.

I noticed some mention about seeing sattelites, allthough I've never seen one I've read that they look a lot like the planets do.

Is it possible that air pockets or something might give stars the appearance to be moving?

dude if the stars start moving around...... we'll get word from astronomers instantly and it will be all over the news.

Calm down and don't let your personal perceptions grab hold of you too tightly.

Uh yeah, stars are constantly in motion..they don't sit still. Stars have orbits just like planets, although their orbit may be millions of light years away.
