Here is a poster produced by the US department of defense encouraging its employees to be aware of hostile government phone taps. This poster is hanging in Dr. Shulgin's office.

Lol, classic. And now the threat of your conversation being monitored comes from within the country instead of without.

Yeah, we are a lot like that here. Mr "change" obama has fully endorsed the shrub era warrantless wiretapping and even gone beyond what shrub had done. Say hello to barry when you talk on the phone.

I thought the new wiretapping law that bush signed required FISA court approval for domestic wiretaps.
Obama: No warrantless wiretaps if you elect me
Did he go back on that promise?

I wouldn't be surprised if he renegged on another one of his plans. Last time I was listening to the radio he was having trouble dealing with most agencies as they still abide by what bush was saying. (if there is any truth to that).

Obama has been blaming things on rogue agents, bush holdovers and so on. The fact is he likes most bush policies and would rather look the other way. He is big on spying on us and supports the fisa bill and claims even more privilege than bush did. Change = more of the same.

The FISA bill that Obama voted for requires that the government gets a warrant for domestic wiretapping.
Bush was conducting domestic surveillance without requiring warrants.
How is this not a step in the right direction?
What do you mean by "claims even more privilege than bush did?" Are you just making this stuff up?

Yeah, alan, I make it all up. That's why I'm proven right time and again. But that doesn't stop you and the nameless one from saying that each and every time. You could do a little search but that would be work. So I'll do it for you. Again.

New NSA domestic spying exposed as Obama stonewalls court challenges By Bill Van Auken 18 April 2009
The National Security Agency carried out “significant and systemic” spying on Americans in recent months, intercepting their private e-mail messages and phone calls, according to intelligence officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to the New York Times.
The NSA refers to the spying as “overcollection” of data from telephone and computer communications by Americans.
The exposure of renewed illegal domestic spying by the NSA, apparently carried out since the inauguration of President Barack Obama, comes as the Justice Department is waging a relentless effort to quash lawsuits seeking to hold former officials accountable for the illegal spying operations mounted by the Bush administration.
The Times account provides further information on domestic surveillance activities under Bush, including a report that the NSA attempted to bug telephone and email communications of a member of the US Congress after the legislator made a trip to the Middle East and spoke with someone the agency considered an “extremist.”
According to an official who spoke to the newspaper, the plan was ultimately scrapped because of concern among some NSA officials that spying on congressmen, without court approval and with no genuine justification could create political problems for the agency.
Also, in the context of a two-year-old Justice Department investigation into NSA spying, the Times reports, an FBI agent has come forward with charges of “significant misconduct” involving NSA eavesdropping on Americans.

Here is more. I can keep this up all day.

Obama To Preserve Bush's Domestic Spying Program April 13, 2009, 11:32PM
Several published reports surfaced on Monday (4/13) saying that the Obama administration will preserve its right to invoke the "state secrets" privilege that drew unwavering criticism from Democrats when former President George W. Bush put it into practice. Essentially this allows the federal government to not only continue its domestic eavesdropping practices, but shields such programs from any and all public exposure.
Several left-leaning think tanks have already voiced their dismay, but it'll be interesting to see if the general public (that was so up in arms a few years ago when Bush did this) gives Obama yet another hall pass.

It is startling to me how many brainless fools will vote for a well funded clown that obviously has tremendous support from the sold-out corporate media.
The ass-hat utilizes neuro linguistic programming techniques in his speeches to brainwash people.
Stupid people didn't bother to inquire as to what "change" said clown was referring to.
People need to wake the fuck up and learn why the economy is fucked.
Why not vote someone in that isn't supported by the corporate media.
Jesse Ventura and Ron Paul would both make excellent Presidents.
Elect people that support the U.S. Constitution and have no desire to fuck with your liberty. Elect people that would gladly die to defend your freedom!

Mr al, you took the words right out of my mouth (keyboard). Very well said. And you know who the next one is going to be? This person has already been selected. It's the bitch herself, hill-billy. When you take hill, you get billy. Just look at the media coverage. Anytime there is a story about another country, they have a quote from hill-billy. She is getting more puff treatment than any other person, except the clown himself. We will only get sold out worthless candidates from the 2 major parties. Anyone who is not sold out gets the hatchet job treatment from the media. Like ron paul when he was a threat, nader, others too.
Alan, thank you for your gracious admission. I didn't mean to jump on you.

Its not startling when you look at his opponent.

I'd do that too if I was president.
I wouldn't say that NLP brainwashes people, but it does make them much more likely agree with you.

Lots of people asked but he declined to specify.

Perhaps you could enlighten us.

Great idea, unfortunately the media has everyone under control.

Yea for sure. I have Ron Paul 2012 bumper stickers on my car and truck.

At that point I was going to vote for anyone who wasn't mccain and had any chance of winning.
I expect the next few elections will be pretty similar, you won't believe who people will vote for to keep Palin out.
