Hi, this is probably a very Noob question, but having never seen a quart Jar in real life (Im from the UK) and not knowing how your imperial system works, does a quart of liquid (1.1 litres) fit in a quart canning jar? Thanks

The size of a Jam jar
The size of a 236ml jar

I have two different brands of jars. What brand do you have?

These are pickle jars from a UK supermarket. I imagine brand is irrelevant, a quart jar from one brand would be the same size as one from another surely?

has anyone elsegot an answer?

Hi: The answer is no, there is only 960cc/ml per quart (1000cc/ml=liter)! A quart Mason jar does hold a little more. I do have a number of one liter unmarked (other than the cc/ml, fluid oz. markings up one of it's side) mason jars that I purchased at a craft store a number of years a go, but they no longer offer them now (the USA was to go metric by the end of the 70's).

There is 30cc/ml to a fluid oz. times 32 equals 960cc/ml.  Hipster
