hello everybody, wonderful wealth of info here that i've been absorbing the past couple of weeks/months/years. anyway i have a question that i couldn't find an answer for.
i watched rr's youtube videos, and i'm going to make the fruiting chamber he made, the only thing is that i'm pretty sure i am not going to be fruiting nearly as many cakes as he was.
what i was wondering was could i make the same type of box out of a 2 liter bottle, drill a bunch of holes in it, put in a bit of wet perlite and have at it?
anyone try?

GO BUY A 10 DOLLAR BOX FROM HOME DEPOT and drill it,
1 cake is shit for yield with a good pinset...
make 10 cakes or however many you can fit into a PC.
do it right the first time

You say that now...
Not sure about the 2-liter setup, you could try it if you want, it'd be interesting to see how a shotgun bottle works out. But really I'd just go buy a big plastic tote, if you're serious about growing. Mine cost me $7. Up to you.

i already have a box i could use like that, but i'm not too sure i want to make 10 cakes.. plus i'm looking for something a bit more stealthy.
so i figured a couple of 2-3 liter bottles with some holes popped in them would work out well.

Either that, or you're in your parents' house... Or just someone who's NOT OK WITH IT Well, I won't tell anyone, just be mildly responsible...ay ay ay... A shotgun can be stealthy, you just need to get creative. I've seen several "FC in a cabinet in my room" posts. One cake will provide, meh, if you do a good job, two or three trips. Not alot. Go to the grocery, buy a big cake or something, then use the clear plastic dome thing. http://images.google.com/images?gbv=2&hl=en&safe=off&sa=1&q=cake+dome+plastic&btnG=Search+Images&aq=f&oq= Good luck fella! Understood understood. Well, your best bet is either a cake dome, or a shotgun. I can't imagine fitting more than one cake in a two litre bottle... You'll prolly have to get real creative! Cheers!
