When you make a all verm casing.. You put just plain vermiculite in the bottom and mist it, unsterilized?. Then add the broke up mycelium in another layer.. and then add the sterile moist verm on top.. Let it sit for a few days.. till when? what will i be looking for to know when its ready? Also does the mycelium spread and colonise the top moist verm layer? or does it pin underneath the moist wet verm layer and pop out? Im so confused..

My buddy has had great results with putting a 2 inch layer of hydrated perilite on the bottom, spawn in the middle, and a half inch layer of casing on top.

Will the mycelium colinate the top part and then fruit?

When the MYC. starts to come thru the casing layer expose it to light and Fresh air. This will start the fruiting proses at this point you are about 10 days out.

Yes.  It will probably come through in some spots, and not others.  Some people like to "patch" these spots with a light layer of casing.  This way it slows down the growth, and lets the other spots catch up.  When you see myc all over the casing (but can still see some casing) you want to expose to 12 hours of light a day, and increase the FAE (airflow).  The number one trigger of pinning is fresh air.

When you first cover with casing, a lot of people like to cover the tub with aluminum foil with a few holes poked into it.

There are several mixtures you could use, but plain verm is an option. I've heard that verm/coir or verm/peat/buffer gives a better micro climate, and thus, more pins.
Usually, you place a small layer on the bottom (about half an inch) to "drain" away waste, etc. Crumble you substrate and spread it as evenly as possible over the bottom layer, then add the casing layer on top (roughly 1/4 the thickness of the substrate).
You should let it incubate for a few days. Once mycelium has "filled all the valleys and crevices of the casing," go ahead and put it in the FC. It will continue to colonize for just a day or so, then stop and prepare for pinning.
Keep your casing at near saturation. I would offer a few links, but the site is backing up and I can't use the search engine and i has to go.
good luck!
