i was downloading some music from kazaa and i came across a version of stairway to heaven that led zeppelin did wih pink floyd......anyone ever hear it? it kicks ass.... definetly be cool during a trip

Once Syd Barrett left Pink Floyd were never the same...
The trippiest song my Led Zep is NO QUARTER - download it and i guarantee you'll enjoy!

You have to realize that most people on Kazaa and other file sharing services are retarded and everything is mislabeled. I downloaded "Jimi Hendrix-Stairway to Heaven(reggae).mp3" and it was the live Zappa version, for instance.

i understand this....but if you listend to it you would see that this is not the case.....it is obviously led zeppelin with pink floyd....and it isnt two songs mixed together...is there a way i could stick it on here? im not very computer litterate.....

there is actually a pink floyd - led zep Stairway to heaven remix.
But is sounds like shit compared to the original. Taking out Jimmy Page's original guitar riffs takes out the heart and soul of the song.

ouch. i just listened to that mp3. that's neither zep or pink floyd. that is not even robert plant singing. it sounds like a cheesy midi-produced stairway copy with some guitar laid over top and some LP scratches tossed in for 'authenticity'. nice try, but no 'cigar'.

If I downloaded the same version you got (rare acoustic), it sounds like Zeppelin Live & acoustic to me. I liked it, but the quality's only 32kbps, not what i'm used to. Still like it nontheless. mebbe not as much as the original, but it ain't bad

I listened to the one that guy has on his ftp thingy...Well...The lead singer isn't robert plant. Doesn't sound to me like roger waters, it could be david gilmore.
When it starts to go more jazzy/bluesy and the black ladies sing backup, That sounds like pink floyd to me.
My guess would be Perhaps it's just a pink floyd cover live on one of there tours.

The Tool Version of No Quarter Does indeed kick ass but it aint shit compared to the original, it just doesnt flow as well as the orginal,Tool fucking rules though.
also you should check out the Type O Negitive version its awesome too

I hold Zepp and Floyd in such reverence (both sober and trippin) that I'm not even THINKIN about possibly considering clicking that link!
But yeah, they come from two totally different musical perspectives (equally valid), that even if they DID produce music at the same time, they wouldn't have seen eye-to-eye. It's like asking Rage Against the Machine playing with Dave Matthews Band. Not to that extreme, but it's not gonna happen.
BTW, Zepp...would it HURT to get John Paul Jones and a nice drummer and doin a reunion tour? For ol' time's sake!!
