Mushroom Eugenics

I've heard lots of senior members here say that a cube is a cube and potency will not vary much within this species.  I wounder however if over time, through selective breeding, a more potent variety may be produced?

The same concept as marijuana's increase in THC content since the 60s through improved breeding and growing conditions..

Or has this already happened and I am just out of the loop?

ure out of the loop,

penis envy and APE are examples of cubensis with extreme potency

BTW. those improved breeding conditions also consist of genetic modifications to the plant. (if we could do that to mushrooms then we would be growing trays of baby mushrooms that are strong enough for 10 people)

In the Quechua language of Peru there are over 1000 words for "potato"
