So I made 12 mason jars and had 4 oles in the top where I was gonna shoot .25cc into each hole, essentially hacing a full cc in each jar. 1 of the jars started some growth.
The growth started about two weeks after i preserved them. now it's been about a total of 5 weeks since I started the project.
here;s my question. the one jar that has some growth looks like it only got growth from one of the holes i squirted in. so it's taking a while for the growth to fill up the jar. and I've noticed the past week or so that there is slow progress now. is it still growing? or is it done? should i take it out of the jar now and start the fruiting process even though the whole jar isn't white and frosty?

Your getting slow growth because of one or both of two reasons. To much, or to little water added to the substrate recipe, or bad gastric air exchange. Also, you need full colonization of the cake (Not including the dry verm lair) before you birth it.

listen man............
Never and I mean never, unless you are throwing the cake out, remove the cake or open the jar until the whole thing is colonized. the cake will not fruit until all the sub/cake is colonized and two the part that is not colonized will get infected with mold or bacteria.
It sounds like you need to get some new spores. you only have 1 knock sight that has started colonizing with 47 more sights to go.
If you bought your spores you need to contact the supplier and get some new ones sent. this happened to me my first time using spores form spores 101. they sent me a new batch for free cause I was not happy.
If you followed all the pf tec directions you should have all your cakes at least 1/2 colonized by now. What it the temp you are incubating at?????
If you have two much moisture/wet rot/bacterial infection your spores will not colonize the cake
If you bought from a shitty supplier then those syringes sucked and had very few spores in them so the ones that are there take too long to colonize and the cakes get a bacterial infection along the way.
If you bought from a good supplier it is prob something you did along the way being new to all this shit.
If you see a slimy/shininess/wettness to the cake where it is not colonized and it looks a little darker that the rest of the cake you have a bacterial infection known as wet rott and that cake is no good. for noobs it is hard to see wet root because it is not as noticeable as mold
I wish you luck, do some more research on your problems, and remember practice makes perfect. We all fuck up our first time or soon after. If you think it is your spores then def contact your supplyer and get them to sent you some of the same spores again and hopefully they will be of better quality. 's
