How do YOU keep your shit from going bad and keep them alive for 4-5 flushes?
Specifically, how do you keep contaminants out of the terranium? Or do you just cut out contamination when it occurs.

Being as clean and steril is the whole key. Lysol is your best friend. Also In between flushes, clean your growing chamber with 1:10 bleach:water. Use the 50/50 + for your casing. Everytime before you fan make sure you spray a shit load of lysol around the room before you proceed.

happygrins is right. Lysol is your best friend. All together sterile procedures at every step of the way is the key to numerous flushes. The most I've ever gotten out of a casing is 9 flushes, the single ninth flush shroom being about 15 inches long. All because of sterile procedures.

Is it typical for the fruits of your flushes after the first to be bigger? Also are they supossed to grow out of the cassing already kind of big, as opposed to all the pins of the first flush? I've seen someone harvest, soak down the casing w/ a spray bottle (both misting the top and using a direct stream around the sides of the container), and just leave 'em in the fruiting chamber. I don't know if re-cassing it or adding another layer will help him out in getting a larger pin set, like the first one, on consecutive flushes.
whatcha think?
