Yeah some ppl say like dj shadow is like trip hop, but i just still call it hip hop :-\

Maybe some songs, but you can't tell me songs like Six Days and Building Steam with a Grain of Salt are your typical hip hop.

Massive Attack and Portishead are both quality trip hop. I'd also suggest some Elsiane.

Anyone listen to Doseone and/or Boom Bip? They are trippy as hell and they collaborated on an album called Circle, check it out.
Acid Jazz is another sick genre to listen to while tripping: Us3 is worth a listen.
