Why is Leprechaun getting so few pins?

Mr Leprechaun is growing Golden Teacher on PF cakes. He is using a slightly substandard substrate (white/brown rice flour mixture) but it doesn't appear to be affecting potency much. The cakes were a long time to colonize because a lot of his inoculation points did not germinate. He is using a perlite shotgun terrarium (perlite is 4 inches deep). Fruiting temperature is 19-20DegC. He does not have a hygrometer. He fans and mists about 4-5 times a day. He is only getting 2-3 pins per cake. What is the most likely cause?

i am no expert, so you'll probably get some good adive here in a minute but you could try letting them sit for like a day without fanning, thats suppose to help somehow other than that, i have no idea, just bored, felt like typing something also not sure but i think to much misting can hurt pinnning

how long have they been in the chamber?
I'm on my first grow and after dunking and putting them in i had a few pins in about two days, and now im on about day 5 and the few pins are big and theres many small ones throughout
id say give it some time.

Okay, here is a pic. They are not all fruiting at the same time because they were birthed at differnt times. He has already had one flush of 3 shrooms plus 1 little abort, and another cake looks like it will only have 2.

White flour is unsuitable as an addition to a mushroom substrate because it has been bleached and most of the nutrients leached out of it.

No, white rice flour isn't bleached although it does have the husk, bran, and germ removed. But this product came as a mixture with brown rice added, so there must be some husk, bran, and germ in it. It hasn't affected potency. Does nutrition really affect pinning. I was wondering was it something to do with the strain (Golden Teacher). Has anyone else experienced this with this strain?

oh i thought you were referring to white flour, as in of bleached flour, i have no experience with the use of white rice flour, and yes nutrition affects pinning, without the right nutrients the mycelium cannot produce very many fruits, it needs nutes for fruiting =/
