Guerrilla grows,

I wanna plant about 40 seeds total at about 5 locations this summer, just kind of drop them and let them grow kind of thing minimum care. What are good locations for these kind of grows?
Also what kind of security measures should I take with something like this? Do I need to be worried about cops placing cameras if my plants are found, or will they just get ripped up?

I'd place them in very remote areas, and places where one would expect to find them naturally. Don't make them "look" planted, i.e. scatter them randomly around an area, and place them far apart from each other.
I don't know how to make it cop proof though.

- Shotgun shell - Nail - Board - String
Also:
- Poo - Sharp sticks - Shovel
Just don't shoot yourself or fall in your own pit.

Booby traps are a bad idea, you don't want to get injured when you are out in the middle of nowhere and if the cops find them them they can get you for serious violent crimes instead of a small cultivation charge.

No one can tell you what the police will do.

The biggest problem for grows like these is deer. Deer love to eat MJ. It's pretty hard to do anything about that.

All the outdoor grows I have seen have chicken wire fencing to keep the deer out. It doesn't need to be very tall if the brush is too thick for the deer to jump over it.

That sounds like a lot of work and a greater chance of getting discovered. I've heard of all sorts of tricks to keep deer away, none of them work all that great from what I understand.
If you are lucky enough to live in a low deer area or somewhere where the natural vegetation is so good that the deer won't bother MJ... Get a GPS and a couple ounces of seed and run around in the woods busting through brush and randomly sowing seeds in every little clearing. Punch in waypoints at every location and then you can have the ultimate guerrilla grow!

It is a lot of work, and the chicken wire is usually the first thing I see when I find a garden. In california its the only way to get any type of harvest though, all the other plants around in the late summer are desert-like and don't compare to the excellent taste of cannabis. Also I understand that rabbits are quite a problem.

That method also requires that you are in an area where it rains all summer, in my area there will usually be not even a drop of rain during the entire growing season.

People should hike out in the wilderness, lay down bright PVC pipe leading to water, leave some dixie cups scattered, and grow tomato plants in spiral crops. Every fake grow the cops spend time and money on to hike out and destroy is one fewer real one.

Good idea, a guerrilla tomato farm could be highly automated.
To do it right you'd need a motion activated video camera to catch the look on the cops faces.
