I probably spelled that wrong but whatever.I was reading about methods for drying shrooms and I read on wiki that salt is a good low tek way of doing that. I figure I would just put a black shirt over the shrooms and put salt right next to them and leave them out in the sun for a little. Is that a good idea?

Yes, but not just regular table salt. Epsom salts. They work great when real desiccant cannot be obtained. Silica gel works really well too if you happen to have a tube laying around. Put your caps on some fresh newspaper, put a pile of your chosen drying agent next to them on the newspaper, and then put the newspaper in a dresser drawer or another dark place for drying. Don't put them in the sun.

ok for how long do I leave them in the drawer for?I also have another question. What is a good way to eat mushrooms?I am looking up how to make tea but some say to use fresh shrooms and others say to use dried shrooms. I guess making tea is the best way to get a good trip right? Why shouldn't I put them in the sun with a dark shirt over them?

For tea you can use fresh or dry its up to you I've tried both dont favor one over the other. Using Epsom salts you have to bake the at around 350 to get all the moisture out and first fan dry them for a few days. Dry them till cracker dry till they will snap in half if you bend them I wouldn't bother drying with the sun

Basically you pick the mushrooms put them in front of a fan for a day or so then take some Epsom Salts bake it at 350 for an hour then put it in a bowl then get a screen( like a window screen) put it over the bowl put your mushrooms on top of the screen and cover the whole bowl

Depending on your region, drying in the sun may provoke temperatures above 90F degrees. This will begin to destroy the active alkaloids in your mushrooms. Drying in a drawer will take around 3 days depending on the relative humidity in the room, the amount of drying agent being used, and the amount of fruit bodies you're drying all at once.
How you imbibe your mushrooms is all up to you. Dry them, eat them fresh, make tea, etc. A good trip depends on your set and setting, not on your method of ingestion.
[Edit: Just promise me you won't boil them when making tea or try to smoke your shrooms! If I hear one more person claim they tripped by smoking shrooms, I'll castrate them!!]

haha no yea I def won't boil them.I live in fla so it gets pretty hot here.Right now in this season it gets around 75 to 80 outside and like 83 in the house so if I put them in a drawer they should be good. I think it would be neat to drink mushroom tea but I dont know how to go about that. I read that I should make the tea first then put the shrooms in and let it sit for about 15 mins, after the tea cooled down a bit.Does that sound correct?
