crumble and case?

so this is my first grow and its going great. 6 z strain and 6 gt's with no contams and most of them are done colonizing already and i was wondering should i crumble and case some of them, does it make a difference. and if so how should i go about doing so.i dont have access to horse fecies. thanks guys

Leave them as cakes, crumbnling and casing doenst have nay benifits.
horese manure/cow etc is a bulk substrate, If you cant get it dont worry aboi tit.

Did you make cakes or did you inoculate grains?
I inoculated quarts of WBS. My jars reached 30% colonized, I shook them, and they are on their way to full colonization. I intended to crumble them, mix 50:50 with moist vermiculite, lay it out in 6qt trays, and allow them to recolonize. I'll probably case 1/2 of my trays and see which way I prefer.

I would suggest fruiting half of each strain as cakes and then casing the rest. Casing your cakes with an additional substrate layer of coco coir can really boost your yields. It takes an additional week or so for it to colonize the bottom casing layer in your incubator (which isn't entirely necessary, you could just wait until the top casing layer is colonized instead) and then toss it into your FC. Experiment with a few methods and find what works best for you.

is there a big risk for contams after i case. could somebody kindof give me a step by step if it isnt to much to ask. thanks
