maryland too cold?

I've seen mention of occasional p. cube.'s being found as far north as md. Wouldn't the frost kill the spores?

Any info would be awesome...

Yup too cold, and where have you read about cubes all the way up there? I mean I guess it could happen. Its just more like the rare cube instead of the occasional cube.

You heard wrong. Someone could start an outdoor patch like Moe did, but finding them there naturaly just isn't gonna happen You'd be lucky to find any cubensis north of TN, much less MD. It's just not the right temp/climate for them up there. Pan subbs, yes; Ps. cube, no.
