What do you do about rain, if you keep yours outside? We just had a drought but its been raining off and on lately.

Keep it in a terracotta pot with fast draining soil. It drys out more quickly. It will do fine outside in the rain. It is a plant after all. If it rains heavy for more than a couple of days, just bring it out of the storm. I'm going to experiment with a 3.5' peruvianus x cuzco this summer. I'm going to leave it out the whole time. I also live in a humid location. It should also be noted that Trichocereus are native to South America, and not a Mexican desert.

Ok, I'd read that the mountains of Peru have fairly normal rainfall, but I was just making sure because I saw someone post that they only water theirs every two weeks or so. FL is fairly humid as well.

I think everyone should grow San Pedro as their first entheogen because it is so hardy but requires patience to tend.

I don't know if anyone should be growing Datura, but I'd like to try morning glory as well. I don't know if I would feel silly considering its widespread availability in gardening stores, but it does look very pretty. :smirk:

If you can spare the pot and soil, datura is acctually a nice looking plant.

Yes datura is a beautiful plant with incredible flowers, i love the white and purples of D. inoxia flowers.

One thing about growing these though, make sure that no children or animals will be around them, all parts of the plant are toxic and could kill a baby/cat/dog if they ate sum of it.

We um... grow too close to our cacti. If you keep that thing around, you'll catch the bug soon enough. If you wanna harvest that one, I'd wait until you can hack off a doses worth, keep it, and let it pup.

Id hack the top off of the larger one and let it pup, i have an 18" specimen i just did this to and it is producing two lovely pups.

heres a pic showing both pups...

i agree with the others, i would buy some skins online and use those if you want mescaline.

you can hack it let it pup then root the pups and have several more pedros for free!!! soon enough you'll have a small army of pedros just from those two you bought.

Yeah, skins are the way to go IME. weiliiiii is stealing my line :crankey: lol. A lot less hassle, shipping is cheaper, and more product for the money. Just be cautious. They are illegal.

ehhhhh yeah I don't know if I feel comfortable purchasing anything illegal online, because I would have to do it with a traceable credit card. I know this isn't the place to talk about that, but I think paypal can create a temporary card or something like that... I'll look into skins.

I suppose I just like the prospect of nurturing something for a purpose, haha.

I might cut it anyway just to create my army.
