    #1009657 - 10/31/02 10:43 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

just a quick question to all those in the seattle area, is all the frost we've been having going to affect the chance of finding any mushrooms?

Yes cyans like the cold but a two to three day frost can ruin the whole season. WE had smow in March of this year and no stuntziis were collected until i posted images in sept 9 of this year. I also posted the March 12 posts of the stuntzii's prior to the tho days of snow and frost and then thee were no shrooms until me and four of the people who went to Thailand with me found them growing.

pullin cyans out of the mycelium without cutting them at the base and picking baby pins can also ruin a season for the cyans, of course MJ would never do such a thing
