hi! i am building my first terrarium..I got 105 quart/99 L terrarium i drilled about 8 holes in the bottom for air exchange , and i made an ultrasonic humidifier using Teh Fire-and-4get Bubbleh Humidifier tech.well to try it out i let it run all night long in my terrarium ,when i awoke i seen my terrarium was full of mist on the inside ..i guess my question is though if i set up a fan with a hepa filer on one side and the fan blowing outward to pull the co2 out .should i run my fan 1 min for every hour ? or should i drill holes add perlite as well , but then the fan will be sucking through the holes and not the hepa filter . i hope i have made my question clear i know im not the best at explaining things i just want to provide the ideal environment with as little maintenance as possible for my mushies , or should i leave the fan out all together and just drill holes what has worked for you and what advice can you give me on my set up . i have read most of the post from different techs and i have yet to find an answer . i also dont have a gage to test the humidity lvl and i dont want to over saturate my fruit ty for your help

As this hobby developed, many growers tried to come up with terrarium designs to meet the needs of mushrooms. I know of absolutely NO terrarium equipped with humidifiers and fans that actually works. They either flood the substrates, provide insufficient fresh air, or dry out the terrarium.
It's why I designed the shotgun terrarium a few years ago. It works well, and is based on sound engineering. Build it per the tek and it will maintain 95% or better humidity and provide the air exchange necessary to grow mushrooms. RR
