So, I don't wanna go as far as growing the correct way right now Not quite ready for that, But I was wondering if you guys have ever heard or have any info about something like this
http://www.angelfire.com/co/mycosociety/cult3.html
Basically I need to start some compost piles anyways, But I want them to be a hot bed for possible mushrooms, I have a lot of horse poop, And tons of straw hay laying all around, But That link above mentions using other materials like activators and what not, even blood meal, But if anyone happens to know about this and maybe have some links and tidbits about something like this, that would be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to do something like this but think some of you guys may have some tips to make it a much more successful project.
Just to clarify, I'm not interested in making a compost pile to use the compost, I just want to work on a compost pile that may also be a hotbed for mushrooms around my area, There seem to be a lot , and they seem to like horse poop and straw hay.
TY!! (and I hope this is in the right forum)
>>>>> And yeah I feel slightly retarded cuz I just searched after posting and there are several topics

hmmmmm, I came across this
it's interesting because I have like a 50foot stretch of tilled ground, FULL of TONS of horse poop. I wonder if I throw a bunch of straw in there and till it all up with the poop, and water it often, What do you think that would be like, It's especially nice because at least 15 feet of the area is under a big tree that provides quite a bit of shade.
I'm interested mainly because I have our garden rows tilled with horse poops and a top lair of hay that is producing quite a bit of mushrooms, I'd like to re-create a similar effect with better results.
Blood Meal is cheap and there is a store right down the street so I'd might as well get that too if it'd be good, Any tips greatly appreciated.
